I’m guessing you came here to find a cute way to keep yourself on task. My hope is that by reading through this list, you’ll be able to get some ideas to have a space for you and all your personal paperwork. I also love to multi-task so I hope you like some of the ideas I’ve come up with to maximize the use of all these items!
I want to start with the basics - the work space. I really like the VITTSJÖ Laptop table in white because it’s plain and clean so it fits in any room and it’s simply chic. Next you need a place to sit. ÖRFJÄLL / SPORREN Swivel chair in white and grey is a super sweet chair that isn’t bulky like some desk chairs can be. These two as a set really look great and can easily be tucked into the corner of the living room or bedroom. Even if you can’t have the dedicated office space of your dreams, a girl needs a place to do her bills, or online shop, I won’t tell anyone.
Next, you need a place next to your desk to hide away all your dirty personal details. The ERIK Drawer Unit in white is a super nice way to hide away any paper mess or lock up confidential information. For most of us gals, this should be plenty of space but they do sell larger ones if you need more storage. Or you can get the SKURAR Magnetic board to magnet some things in view. Again, since I love to multi-task, there’s some hooks along the bottom that can hold keys or be for more necklace storage if your desk space is in your room.
Now that you have a place for your bills, let’s keep you on time so you don’t forget to pay any of them! Every desk space needs a clock, it’s also another thing to hang on the wall since I’m a big fan of not having empty wall space. This clock also has some color so your work space is clean but warm with a green clock - the SLIPSTEN Wall clock is a sweet green which will look great when you’re spouse or partner brings you home some nice flowers for your desk!
What’s the next prettiest thing on your desk next to the vase of flowers? Your reflection! The TYSNES Table mirror is super basic which makes it a great item to have on the cover of your desk so you can fix the mascara stains on your face after paying your bills or hopefully get yourself dolled up for a night out after you see how much money you have left after bills!
Now of course you’ll need a space for your pens and makeup brushes! One or two of the SKURAR candle holders actually make great brush and pen holders! You can spray paint it whatever color you want or just let cute colored brushes add the desired pop of color on your desk. The only other item you should have on your desk is a small plant. IKEA has a great selection of plants but my favorite is the FEJKA succulent since it just adds a bit of green and life to your desk without being too big. Pair the succulent with the NYPON pot and you’re all set!
Get organized and look cute while doing it! Now your desk is work and play, it’s a great way to have a place to sit and work but also have a place to get ready for life in general whether it is blogging, sorting out finances, or getting ready for a night on the town. Go get them girl!
